Return & Refund Policy
At Baby and Car, we want every family to feel confident and supported when buying their car seat. We understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, so this return & refund Policy outlines how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds for our products.
Please note: This policy applies only to physical car seat products sold through Baby and Car.
All other services (such as car seat installation consults, digital downloads, or car buying concierge sessions) are not eligible for returns or refunds once purchased.
1. Eligibility for Returns
You may request a return if:
- The car seat arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, or 
- You have a change of mind and the product is in as-new, unused condition (subject to Maxi-Cosi’s final inspection approval). 
All return requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving your order. Once approved, the item must be shipped back within 30 days of delivery. To submit a refund request please email info@babyandcar.com.au
2. Faulty or Damaged Items
If your car seat arrives faulty or damaged:
- Please contact us at info@babyandcar.com.au within 7 days of delivery. 
- Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the fault or damage. 
- Once confirmed, you’ll be given instructions on how to return the item. 
If the fault is verified, you’ll receive:
- A full refund or replacement, and 
- Reimbursement for return shipping costs (upon providing a valid receipt). 
All refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase and may take up to 14 business days to process once the item is received and assessed.
3. Change of Mind Returns
If you’ve simply changed your mind:
- Returns are accepted at the discretion of Maxi-Cosi based on the condition of the returned product. 
- The car seat must be unused, uninstalled, in its original packaging, and include all tags and accessories. 
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, and these costs are non-refundable. 
Once the product has been received and approved by Maxi-Cosi, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 14 business days.
4. Exclusions
Returns and refunds do not apply to:
- Digital products or services such as virtual consultations, guides, or car buying concierge sessions. 
- Products that have been used, installed, or damaged after delivery. 
- Items returned without prior approval. 
5. Australian Consumer Law
This policy operates in line with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
You are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if a product fails to meet acceptable quality, is unsafe, or does not match its description.
These rights apply regardless of any additional warranties or return periods.

7. Processing Time
Once your return is approved and received:
- Refunds will be processed within 14 business days. 
- You’ll receive an email confirmation when your refund has been issued.
